Healing in Transition

Bringing holistic healing to families in shelters and transitional housing.

My journey through homelessness revealed to me how deeply trauma and stress affect the body — not just in the moment, but years later. Sound therapy changed my life, and now I use it to help others heal.

Yet in most homeless shelters, emotional wellness services are not available. That’s where Healing in Transition comes in — a mission to provide free sound baths, stress relief workshops, and holistic healing to families rebuilding their lives.

With your donation, you’re helping me bring peace, restoration, and healing to those who need it most.

My Story

I know firsthand what it means to lose everything — and to fight to rebuild. Years ago, I experienced homelessness, living in my car for six months with my two children. On the day we were evicted, all of my belongings were placed on the street and random strangers picked through all of my things and I lost everything. Even my children’s baby books were taken by complete strangers. I lost my apartment in February of 2014, one of the coldest months of the year and we slept in my car and washed up at gas stations and fast food restaurants. Over time, we moved through nearly 20 shelters across Metro Atlanta before finally entering transitional housing. At the time, I didn’t fully understand how much stress that journey was storing in my body. As a single mom, I just kept going without thinking about my health.

Even after becoming stable again, I began facing unexplained health issues — until one doctor asked a simple question that changed everything: “Are you stressed?” That moment opened the door to my healing journey. I turned to natural methods, and that’s when I discovered sound therapy. It transformed my health, my mindset, and my purpose.

Today, as a Certified Sound Therapist, I’ve had the honor of serving over 2,000 clients, appearing on national television, and leading sound baths for individuals and communities across the country. Now, I’m coming full circle — bringing the healing that saved my life to families who are still navigating the journey I once walked.
